On a national basis, Norcom supports the Kids In Need Foundation. The organization believes that every child in America
should have equal opportunity and access to a quality education. Its mission is to partner with teachers and students in
under-resourced schools and provide the support needed for teachers to teach and learners to learn.
The Value of Education. A quality education is the best gateway to opportunity, and students cannot achieve their
full potential without it.
The Value of Teachers. Teachers know what's essential to helping students learn. They are the key to unlocking a student's potential.
The Value of Dignity. Kids In Need strives to serve in a way that recognizes and protects the inherent dignity of both teachers and students.
Kids In Need strategically mobilizes efforts and resources through foundational programs – Supply A Teacher, Supply A Student, and Second Responder – and our National Network of Resource Centers, a collection of more than 40 well-established, mission-driven organizations across the country. Each year through Kids In Need programs and Network, the organization serves an estimated 5 million students, 205,000 teachers, and provide over $70 million in product at no cost to schools or teachers.
In so many ways, the City of Griffin and Spalding County Georgia support Norcom and it's Made in America efforts.
To say "Thank You" and to support the future of our home community, for the past 14 years Norcom has sponsored
the Education Celebration to honor local educators. Our local school system and teachers are dedicated to helping the
students succeed in school and in life.
Norcom, in concert with local and national businesses, kicks off each school
school year with a unique event involving informative and motivational speakers, and distribution of school supplies to
every classroom in the Griffin Spalding County School System.
